The privilege of hearing Jason Meyer teach on the local church and college students. This is live right now, looking forward to some staff training with him in a couple of days as well.

Back in SC

After A day and a half of driving, finally made it back to project. I'll be down in South Carolina until August 4. Some more training, teaching, a couple days of work and rest.

Return Training for STP

So, last week of STP is "return training" , in which the staff (including myself this Summer) return to Project. The students have their last day of work soon and we will be doing a bunch of teaching on various things. A big 'ol clean up day and we will be headed back down on the morning of the 4th, back in SD real late on the 5th. I may be in MN for an extra day or two, but back in B-Town very soon after the 5th. Please pray for the time and that the end of STP would be fruitful for the students.

2012 Equip Staff

Including the volunteer staff, 2012 we have five staff. We were able to meet today for an hour at lunch and talk about the coming semester. One of the biggest blessings is that each of these people are good friends. Pray for our planning and most importantly our love for the Lord and one another.

2nd office / Summer Mission Feild

I spend a lot of time at Cottonwood coffee shop during the summer. Although I do have an office in the church, this becomes used more often. One thing this does for me is enables me to see people rather than only the basement of the church. I have started many new friendships and relationships because of this. Plus, the coffee is really good. Call it a perk, in lieu of standard benefit things like health insurance and 401-k's...whatever those are. But really, I praise God for a place like this.

Today, writing E-newsletter and working on fundraising. Later today, going to meet with Brandon and do some planning for the fall semester.

Random stuff

Working on some random stuff at the church today. Redoing the old nursery to make it a new Sunday school room. More updates coming soon on how STP went, but I'm headed back down for a week of return training in a week.

Ready to go...for a whole month.

Its the end of May, and what that means for another Summer (for me) is spending a month (slightly longer) in South Carolina for "Summer Training Project".

For lack of time, and because I want to get to sleep, I'll be posting more about STP in the coming days.   However, please be praying for myself and the handful of SDSU students who are coming on the project for this summer.  I'm very excited to see God work in their lives and in mine during this unique and concentrated time of learning, training and growing.

Pray for me, and I look forward to updating my blog a couple of times a week for the month of June!
